NAF Destroys Terrorists Hideouts in Borno, Kills Many Fighters
The Nigerian Air Force has dealt a significant blow to terrorist elements in Buratai, Borno State, through a precision airstrike conducted in the early hours of June 5, 2025.
According to Ehimen Ejodame, Air Commodore Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, the operation was carried out under Operation HADIN KAI, with NAF surveillance assets tracking insurgents attempting to flee with four gun trucks.
The NAF operation involved a precision airstrike that engaged the convoy with devastating accuracy, killing several fighters and destroying two gun trucks loaded with supplies, and was initiated based on credible intelligence that enabled NAF surveillance assets to track the insurgents.
The statemt added that this recent operation is part of the Nigerian Air Force’s ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace and security in the region.
It concluded that the NAF remains committed to providing airpower in support of ground forces and other security agencies to achieve lasting peace and security in the country.
