Miss Universe Organization Warns Against Unauthorised Events
New York / Bangkok — November 2, 2025
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has issued a formal statement disassociating itself from a publicly promoted event described as a “Special Dinner & Talk Show,” warning that the activity is not authorised by the organisation.
In the release published via its official “Press Releases” section, the MUO cautioned that any use of its name, logo, or related branding without prior written authorisation constitutes a breach of its intellectual property rights and brand integrity.
“Any independent or third-party activity using the Miss Universe name, logo, marks, or related branding without prior written authorisation is considered a violation of our intellectual property rights,” the statement read.
The organisation urged media outlets, partners, sponsors, and the public to verify all information through its official channels, including its website, Instagram (@missuniverse), and Facebook (Miss Universe).
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, professionalism, and integrity, MUO stated that it remains vigilant in protecting its global brand and ensuring that only verified national franchises and official partners represent the pageant’s values.
The clarification comes amid reports of a dinner event and voting initiative being promoted under the Miss Universe name despite not being sanctioned. Industry observers believe the statement was intended to prevent confusion as preparations heighten for the 74th Miss Universe competition in Thailand, where contestants from over 80 countries are expected to compete.
For stakeholders — including national directors, sponsors, and media — the warning underscores the need to confirm authenticity before associating with or covering any event linked to the Miss Universe brand.
