The race for the 2025 Miss Universe Nigeria crown kicked off on Friday with auditions for prospective contestants at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos.
Scores of hopefuls, radiating confidence and elegance, faced a panel of judges in a process that began with registration, followed by question-and-answer sessions to assess their poise, intellect, and readiness for the international stage.
The competition serves as Nigeria’s gateway to the Miss Universe pageant, with this year’s journey inspired by the success of Chidimma Adetshina, who emerged as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 and went on to clinch first runner-up at the global finals, a historic achievement the next queen will aim to surpass.
Organisers say the selection process will continue in the coming weeks, leading to the grand finale where one contestant will be crowned and represent Nigeria on the world stage.
