Another set of Nigerian evacuees, numbering 325 on board have departed US to land in Lagos and Abuja airports.
So far, this will be the sixth evacuation from US, The Punch reports.
According to the Consul General of Nigeria in New York, Mr. Benaoyagha Okoyen 128 males, 174 females, and 23 infants, have been documented in the manifest.
So far, the total numbers of stranded Nigerians evacuated from the US by the Federal Government are now 1,739.
The flight schedule reveals that, the Ethiopian Airlines plane will fly directly to Abuja, and then proceed to Lagos.
Speaking to News Agency of Nigeria Okoyen disclosed that 101 of the passengers were Abuja-bound, while the rest are heading to Lagos.
Meanwhile, all the evacuation with the previous flights, were subjected to the Federal Government’s COVID-19 safety requirements before boarding.
The presentation of negative coronavirus test, temperature checks and results, among others were not excluded from the process.
