Manchester City on Tuesday emphatically beat Sporting Lisbon in Portugal 5-0 in their first leg to continue their quest for a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
The victory for City was more than a win as City boss, Pep Guardiola’s men put up a scintillating performance, just the way they have been this season.
The win for City gives them an edge in the first leg against a buoyant and reinvigorated Portuguese champion.
Apart from Riyad Mahrez, Bernado Silva, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling Bernardo Silva putting their name on the score sheet, they also put up a superb performance in the match.
