LAGOS POLICE ADJUST VEHICULAR MOVEMENT RESTRICTION FOR SATURDAY’S LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS
The Lagos State Police Command has announced a review of the timing for the restriction of vehicular and waterways movement ahead of the Local Government Elections scheduled for this Saturday, July 12.
In a statement issued today, the Command said the restriction will now begin at 6:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM, instead of the earlier announced 3:00 AM start time.
The adjustment, according to the police, is to ease the burden on residents with critical medical needs and international travel commitments.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, assured Lagosians of the Command’s commitment to a secure and orderly election, urging the public to cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious activity.
