The examination results of Korede Bello at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba has been a subject of debate among his course mates as they question his high scores.
The course mates who refused to mention their names argued that Korede should not have scored high marks than them because he rarely showed up in class to participate in various tests and assignment.
However, one of the lecturers in the institution had described the noise being made by the students as uncalled-for. The lecturer said that korede had fulfilled the percentage of class attendance and that he scored high grades because he is naturally brilliant.
The lecturer said, “We follow standard and I must tell you, most of these students who are making noise are not serious. What they do is gossips. How many of them can beat Korede? Must we say because he is a singer and so he does not read? Don’t mind them please.”
The Mavin Mega Super-Star, Korede Bello with the Godwin hit song cleared all his examination results with good grades while some of the students who are regular on campus and in class failed some courses and have to carry them over to the next session.
One of the protesting students who is also a blogger, Famuyiwa Damilare said he had two carry-overs and low grades in eight other courses offered last semester which ended February this year because he exposed Korede’s academic inadequacies.
He said, “Following my reports of Korede Bello's absence in school and his likelihood of missing out on school's examination due to not meeting the 70% attendance of class criteria, the management of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) decided to deal with me.
He said the lecturers deliberately cut his marks to punish him while Koredo had very high grades.
He alleged that Korede Bello whose matric number is HNMC/15/091 reportedly cleared all his results with the help of some corrupt members of the school's management who manipulated the system to allow him writes his papers after being absent in school for over half of the semester.
