Sarah Jibril, the Special Adviser to the President on Ethics and Values, has called on Nigerians to reject the call on the government by some western organisations to reconsidersame sex unions.
Jibril said this on Tuesday in Abuja at the opening of a one-day National Theology Seminar on same sex unions, organised by the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).
She said that same sex union are against typical African values.
"The west must respect our culture and value," she said.
Jibril commended the National Assembly and President Jonathan for standing firm against the proponents of same sex marriage in spite of the pressure from the West and some wealthy individuals.
