Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi on Tuesday said, to tackle insecurity in Nigeria, people must have a means of livelihood first.
Speaking as a guest on the show, ‘’Real Talk With Kike’’ at Silverbird News 24, the presidential aspirant for 2023 elections also stated that security is in two ways: natural and defensive security.
Mr. Obi who also shared his thoughts on the topic, 2023 Elections: Presidential race and the vision for Nigeria, stated further that people don’t know where the next meal will come from, rather they should because they will become tool for criminality, prostitution and others.
He revealed that the defensive security involves the military and policing which has to be renewed on a daily basis, stressing that there should also be budget for insecurity.
Mr. Obi also made emphasis on the way Nigeria is policing today, and advised that it must be dismantled because the country has only one one policing system.
