The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operation, Abdulmojeed Ali has described his boss and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is a true apostle of community policing.
He said this while receiving the Silverbird Special recognition award on behalf of Adamu at the Silverbird Man of the Year Award ceremony at Eko Hotel recently.
He described Adamu who was on national assignment in France at the time as a man of impeccable integrity, a man that has been giving the police a sense of direction.
“Adamu believes that policing should be run by the community, that communities are the one to solve their problem before going to the police.
Police are just to assist the community. The insecurity we have today will soon be a thing of the past. Given us the wherewithal to fight crime, Nigeria will be a better place in the nearest future,” he explained.
