Renowned Nigerian Disk Jockey, Florence Otedola, well known as DJ Cuppy, says studying at Oxford university has affected her progress in the music industry.
The female singer who is currently studying for a Masters degree in African Studies at Oxford University, England made this statement this via her Instagram story on Tuesday.
In 2014, Cuppy earned a Bachelors degree in business and economics from King’s College London, and a Master’s degree in music & business from New York University in 2015.
In her caption where she shared a video speaking about her studies in the University, she said:
“Some days I’m at Oxford deeply regretting unnecessarily doing a third university degree because I feel like it’s affected my progress in the music industry but some days like this, I’m really proud of myself and I know that education empowers me to be greater in every aspect of my life.”
She also stated in the video that while studying she was studying African Studies, she noticed Africans do not know much about themselves.
