The suspension of booster vaccines for Covid-19 has been ordered by renowned health institution, World Health Organization (WHO).
According to WHO, the period of suspension will last till the end of September.
The specific reason for this development was elucidated by WHO Chief Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. He stated that a pause would allow for at least 10% of the population in every country to be vaccinated.
Meanwhile, a number of nations including Israel and Germany are on the verge of administering a third dose.
From close observation, Dr Tedros has noticed and raised an alarm of how poorer nations are falling behind.
Considering lack as a factor, low-income countries have only been able to administer 1.5 doses for every 100 people due to a lack of supply, WHO revealed.
One, of all remedies suggested by Dr Tedros is that majority of vaccines should go to lower income countries, stressing that there needs to be a reversal.
