More than 300,000 people have lost their lives in India, due to Covid-19 and other diseases related to the pandemic.

This development is coming at a time that the country is in a critical state, not leaving behind the fact that they are battling with the pandemic.

Meanwhile, experts have reacted to the serious situation that the country is going through. They revealed that as many deaths are not officially recorded, there is strict a strict warning that the real number of fatalities might be much higher.

Meanwhile, since India is known to be the epicentre of the global pandemic, it is second only to the US with 26 million cases.

Apart from the US and Brazil, India has also acquired the status of the third in the world to record more than 300,000 deaths.

Interestingly, it has now recorded in history that it took less than a month to record its last 100,000 deaths.

With hospitals struggling to cope with the influx of patients and with critical drugs and oxygen running out, a deadly second wave in recent weeks has overwhelmed the country’s healthcare system.

On causalities, in the last 26 days alone, the country has recorded 102,533 Covid-19 deaths- half of the country’s virus deaths occurred in the last three months.
