President Joe Biden has made a pledge to assist India with health materials in order to help savage the severe Coronavirus situation in the country.

Biden who spoke with the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Monday pledged to assist and play his role to solve the problem of the consistent rise in Coronavirus cases and deaths in the country.

According to readout from the White House on the call, Biden said the United States will provide “oxygen-related supplies, vaccine materials and therapeutics,”

The situation in India has put the United States under increased pressure to offer assistance to the country which has been tagged as the global epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The aid agreement which announced it would share up to 60 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine with other countries, came the same day the White House went under pressure to help vaccinate the global population.
