As the global coronavirus figure surge, 307,930 new infections have been recorded.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of daily infections reached a new record on Sunday.
So far, more than 5,500 new deaths were also recorded, bringing the global total to 917,417.
Meanwhile, three countries, India , US and Brazil have the highest number of infections. The figures are 94,372 in India, 45,523 in the US and 43,718 in Brazil.
This development was reported by WHO official who raised an awareness that Europe is likely to see a rise in the number of daily deaths in October and November.
WHO Europe director Hans Kluge while speaking to the AFP news agency today said, “It’s going to get tougher… in October and November; we are going to see more mortality,”
In recent weeks, the number of cases has been rising in a number of European countries with Spain and France experiencing the largest spikes.
