Due to the continuous spread of covid-19 globally, Germany‘s foreign ministry has advised holidaymakers not to travel to several Spanish regions.

As a result of the rise in coronavirus infection rates in Catalonia, home to Barcelona,   the ministry has warned Germans to be aware of the new development, Aljazeera reports.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that, the world’s biggest COVID-19 vaccine trial got under way on Monday with the first of 30,000 planned volunteers helping to test shots created by the US government along with pharmaceutical company Moderna.

On the global scene, data from Johns Hopkins University reveal that Nearly 16.5 million people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

On casualties and recovery, 9.6 million patients have recovered, while more than 654,000 have died.
