The plan UK has to combat coronavirus will today be set out by the Government.

In recent times, there has been a warning of the spread of the deadly disease which was likely to accelerate in the coming days.

According to Evening Standard, Boris Johnson will announce the measures, which could see people discouraged from unnecessary travel.

Other measures that have been taken in this regard is that workers are urged to stay at home and retired doctors and nurses asked to return to work to help deal with patients.

While the Prime Minister made comments, he insisted the UK was “ready to take necessary steps” to contain the disease, stressing that,  “every possible preparation” was being made.

At the moment, the total number of coronavirus cases confirmed in the UK currently stands at 39.

On government actions, the UK has decided that it may be forced to take actions it ordinarily should not have taken in order to keep UK safe
