Galatasaray Sells 90,000 Osimhen-Modelled Retro Jerseys in Three Days
Turkish giants Galatasaray have recorded a massive commercial success after selling nearly 90,000 retro jerseys modelled by Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, generating over 200 million Turkish Lira in just three days.
The club recently relaunched its iconic 1999/2000 striped jersey—the kit worn during Galatasaray’s historic UEFA Cup triumph in 2000—as part of a special “Retro” campaign celebrating the club’s golden era.
Osimhen, who has become a fan favourite in Turkey, was selected as the face of the campaign, a move that significantly boosted sales and engagement across social media.
Galatasaray announced that the overwhelming demand for the vintage shirt exceeded projections, making it one of the club’s most successful merchandise releases in recent history.
The retro kit, cherished by supporters for its symbolic link to Galatasaray’s European success, continues to sell out in multiple stores, reflecting the club’s strong brand loyalty and Osimhen’s rising popularity among Turkish fans.
