A sexual harassment scandal involving New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has prompted him to resign after inquiries were made.

The sexual scandal, sources say, involved multiple women as it also triggered efforts to remove him.

After claims were made that he was found guilty of the act, he decided to step aside, still denying the claims.

Considering the pressure on Cuomo to speak the truth he said, “The best way I can help now is if I step aside,”

Meanwhile, a woman, Lt Governor Kathy Hochul is ready to fill up the space of Cuomo whose resignation will take effect in 14 days.

Hochul is not only coming forth to occupy the position but will also make history as the first woman to lead New York state.

However, Cuomo’s resignation occurred due to pressure to from fellow Democrats, including President Joe Biden.

Interestingly, Mr Cuomo is the third New York governor in a row to leave office under a cloud of scandal.
