Two men have been arrested on Wednesday, for allegedly attacking police officers in Rochester, N.Y., during a weekend protest.
According to federal officials, the protest was staged as a result of over suffocation to death of a Black man in the US, Fox News reports.
Adam Green of Dansville, and Dallas Williams-Smothers, of Rochester, both 20, will face criminal charges for civil disorder during a Saturday demonstration, the Justice Department announced
Moreover, it was also disclosed that both of them will face up to five years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
While making comments about the James Kennedy, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of New York, said the arrests occurred as 1,500 people gathered in downtown Rochester near police headquarters.
