More than 30 people have reportedly died as a result of a stampede that occurred at the funeral of top Iranian general, Qassem Soleimani in the southeastern city of Kerman, on Tuesday.
General Qassem Soleimani died during an air strike in Iran, that United States claimed responsibility for, some few days back.
According to Punch, the state television reported that, apart from the dead people, dozens of people were also reportedly injured.
The report also revealed that the ugly incident occurred as a result of overcrowding. It states that, “Unfortunately, due to extraordinary overcrowding, more than 30 people have lost their lives and dozens of others have been injured.”
