Vincent Enyeama will play in next season's Uefa Champions League with Lille OSC if the club win one of their two remaining league games this season.
Enyeama was in goal as Lille drew 1-1 against SC Bastia at Stade Armand Césari (Furiani) on match day 36 of Ligue 1.
The draw on Friday sees Lille increase their points haul to 68 from 36 games and with two games still to play, Les Douges can no longer be overtaken by fourth-placed Saint-Étienne if they win their next league game at home to PSG next week.
Currently, as determined by the Uefa coefficient, the top three teams in Ligue 1 qualify for the Champions League, with the top two proceeding directly to the group phase.
The third-placed team enter in the third qualifying round while the fourth-placed team qualify for the Uefa Europa League.
Lille can no longer finish in second place in Ligue 1 though as they currently trail second-placed AS Monaco by seven points.
Enyeama has been in great form for Lille this season, amassing 21 clean sheets in 36 games and ensuring that Steve Elana and Barel Monou (the club's two other goalkeepers) failed to get a sniff in the first-team in Ligue 1 this season.
Enyeama is one of two Nigerians in Ligue 1 this term. Left-back, Elderson Echiejile (with AS Monaco) is the other.
