The sexual assault conviction of US comedian, Bill Cosby has been overturned by Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court and this has prompting his exit from prison.
After admitting that their ruling was unusual, the judges said there had been a “process violation” by the prosecution.
On his offence, Mr Cosby, 83, he was found guilty of drugging and molesting ex-basketball player Andrea Constand, in 2018.
The renowned comedian who was given a three to 10-year sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia served more than two years.
On his exploits in the comedy industry, Mr. Cosby is best known for starring in the 1980s TV series The Cosby Show and was once known as “America’s Dad”.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cosby have been alleged of publicly accused of sexual assault by some women, but he was only tried criminally for the incident against Ms Constand.
His arrest triggered comments while his conviction in 2018 was widely seen as a landmark moment in the #MeToo movement.
