Renowned Nigerian female gospel artiste, Tope Alabi has been tongue-lashed for finding fault in the song of another gospel singer.

A lot of people on social media reacted after Alabi found fault with the term fellow gospel singer, Adeyinka used “Alaseyori”, in acknowledging the greatness of God, while ministering during a vigil in the early hours of June 12.

During ministration, Adeyinka who honoured God with the word, “Oniduro” was denounced by Alabi publicly. In the understanding of Alabi, it wasn’t right to be used to edify God.

According to her, when she tried singing the song, the Holy Spirit cautioned her.

The reaction of Alabi has resulted into divergent discussions and comments from fans and gospel music enthusiasts. Most of them were against Alabi. Some of them said she ought to have called the attention of Adeyinka for a private discussion to tell her what the Holy Spirit told her.

While most people called her a proud person, others said she was arrogant and does not want other artistes to emerge and get to the level she has attained.
