The Brits Awards which holds on Tuesday is about to witness Pop star Taylor Swift become the first female winner of The Global Icon award.
Swift will not only become the first winner of the award, but will also earn the first non-British recipient of the prize, which the Brits characterise as their highest honour.
So far, only three other artists have been named Brits Icons – Sir Elton John, David Bowie and Robbie Williams.
The American singer is not expected to perform at the ceremony, which will take place with an audience as part of the government’s pilot scheme for live events.
The venue of the show will be London’s O2 arena where about 4,000 people are expected to be in attendance.
Meanwhile, more than half of the tickets have been given to key workers from greater London.
The show which has been hosted for a fourth time by Jack Whitehall will open with a performance from Coldplay.
Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodgrigo and Headie One, are among those who will perform at the event.
