The posthumous SAG award for outstanding performance in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” has been awarded to American Actor of blessed memory, Chadwick Boseman on Sunday.

The efforts of Boseman who died in August after a private battle with colon cancer was recognized for his work

The wife of the 43 year-old, Taylor Simone Ledward, accepted the award on his behalf with a moving speech.

Ledward in her remarks said, “‘If you see the world unbalanced, be a crusader that pushes heavily on the seesaw of the mind.’ That’s a quote from Chadwick Boseman,”

Peaking further, she appreciated the screen actors. In her words, “Thank you, Screen Actors. Thank you, Chad.”

Boseman’s co-star in the film, Viola Davis, was also honored on Sunday.

The American actress took home the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role.
