American rapper, Earl Simmons well known as DMX has been hospitalized and on life support in White Plains, New York.

This development was revealed by the attorney of the songwriter, Murray Richman.

On the cause of his death, Richman stated that 50 year-old DMX suffered a heart attack Friday around 11 p.m. at his home in White Plains and was taken via ambulance to a local hospital, where he remains on a ventilator.

As at the time of this report, the attorney said he did not know what may have caused the heart attack.

Although, Richman who has worked with DMX for 25 years, on Saturday evening said he is aware of the rapper’s medical prognosis, and has been in touch with the rapper’s family all day but did not disclose details about the situation.

DMX who has three Grammy nominations to his credit began rapping in the early 1990s and released his debut album It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998

Two were for Best Rap Solo Performance and the third was for Best Rap Album.
