American singer Dolly Parton has gotten her coronavirus vaccine dose on  Tuesday at Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee.

After  getting her dose, she reimagined one of her hit songs, Jolene, and encouraged others to also get theirs, alluding to her help funding the Moderna vaccine.

Parton, 75, who announced that she had donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University to help find a cure for Covid-19, last year, posted a photo of herself getting the shot to her social media accounts with the caption “Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine.”

Her advice to people to get their dose was done in form a video which she urged her followers to be vaccinated if they are eligible and said that she was “old enough” and “smart enough” to get her shot.

Parton while singing to encourage her fans to get their shot said, “Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine,”

“I’m begging of you please don’t hesitate.”
