Talented Nigerian music artiste, Burna Boy, has won the 2020 BET Award for Best International Act.

The award event which was held in the early hours of Monday, took centerstage virtually, live at Los Angeles, in the U.S. The reason for the virtual coverage was an option in order to maintain measures of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

As the the host of one of the most interesting entertainment awards, the job was reserved for American comedian, Amanda Seales.

On the the artistes that noticed for nomination in the same category apart from Burna Boy, Rema made the list.

Others are: the likes of Innoss’B (DR Congo), Sho Madjozi (South Africa), Stormzy (United Kingdom), Dave (United Kingdom), Ninho (France) and S.Pri Noir (France) to claim the highly coveted award.

At the end of the day, Nigeria’s Burna Boy emerged winner of the Best International Act, in the 2020 BET Awards.

Renowned Nigerian artiste also known as African Giant, while collecting his award made comments on the African development.  He said:

”Second time and I appreciate it. I will like to use this opportunity to say that sometime around 1835, there was admission to turn the nation of Africa into a dominated nation. Now is the time to return and go back to the royalty that we were because in order for black lives to matter, Africa must matter.

Apart from this year’s award, the the Port Harcourt-born singer also grabbed Best International Act win last year, where  he was nominated alongside Mr Eazi, AKA, Dave, Giggs, Dosseh and Aya Nakaruma.
