Nigerian celebrities, Dr. Sid , Ali Baba and others have taken out time to appreciate men and loved ones through messages as the world celebrate Father’s Day today, June 31, 2020.

Their comments were shared on their various social media platforms, Instagram to be precise.

In Dr. Sid’s interesting post, he talked about the role of the female folk and their right to well being from their various fathers, using the ash tags: #HeForSheAtHome heforshe.org  @unwomen @heforshe”

RepostBy @iamdrsid:  “Today is for Fathers but I would like to talk about #HeForSheAtHome we all have a responsibility to build a society where women and girls are not subjected to gender-based violence, have full access to quality education and are free to thrive in their careers.

I want my daughters to live in such a society, I want to live in such a society. Gender equality works for all of us and it starts at home.

Whether it’s doing reading to them, making their favourite meals or ensuring the house is clean and tidy for them.

With the recent #StateOfEmergencyGBV we all have the chance to appeal for an end to GBV and push for gender equality! One of the ways we can do this is by pushing our policy makers to domesticate the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP).

You can also do your part to grow the #HeForShe movement in Nigeria by taking less than 1 minute to pledge online at heforshe.org  @unwomen @heforshe”

As for renowned Nigerian celebrity Ali Baba;  his father’s Day message went to his father and his twin brother.
