The management of Silverbird Cinemas has temporarily closed all his branches in Nigeria as parts of its measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

This was contained in a statement signed by the President of Silverbird Group, Mr. Guy Murray-Bruce. The statement read, “At Silverbird Cinemas, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers. Based on the Directives issued by Federal and State Governments, we have therefore made the difficult decision to close our Cinemas in Nigeria until further notice. This takes effect from Monday March 23, 2020 and includes:
• Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island (Galleria)
• Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja (Ikeja City Mall)
• Silverbird Cinemas, Festac (Festival Mall)
• Silverbird Cinemas, Abuja (Silverbird Entertainment Centre)
• Silverbird Cinemas, Abuja (Jabi Lake Mall)

We deeply value our cinema-loving customers and have no doubt we will be serving everyone again as possible with a full slate of Hollywood and Nollywood blockbusters.
Our thoughts go out to the people who have been affected and we appreciate the healthcare workers and those at the frontline working to contain the virus, keeping us safe.
Remember COVID 19 is real. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or sanitize your hands.
Thank you for choosing Silverbird Cinemas, please STAY SAFE.

Yours sincerely,

President, Silverbird Group
