It was a night of glamour on the Purple Carpet having top veteran personalities in the Nigerian film industry Nollywood, being celebrated at Film Gala 2019
Silverbird Television’s foremost fashion show ‘’Page 3’’ was present to capture all the lively and remarkable moments at the interesting event.
The event was held on the Saturday, January 26th, 2019. Filmhouse Cinemas, the premiere movie/film platform in Nigeria and Moët & Chandon, the official champagne of the Golden Globes, collaborated to bring to the forefront of the Nigerian film industry bodies of work that are breaking the norm in contemporary Nigerian cinema and inspiring really creative pieces of art
The Film gala featured the best of Nollywood and various initiatives that left inspiring and effective legacies in the industry, and society as a whole.
One of the veteran actress, Ireti Doyle was on the Purple Carpet to share her view about the event; as she applauded the organisers stressing that she felt highly celebrated to be present, giving kudos to the designer of her dress, Funmi Ajila.
Another popular actress, Dakore, speaking on the red carpet said she felt honoured to be at the event, reminiscing the rough moments, stressing that they came into the industry when it was not cool to be an artist, affirming that it is now cool to be an artist.
Jimmy the entertainer was not left out of those celebrated in the event as he brought to the Purple Carpet his entertainment skills, making the red carpet ore lively. Jimmy said he was at the event to have a good time to mingle and take pictures.
Renowned singer Ikechukwu was also on the Purple Carpet to share his experience abcout the event, the Nigerian film industry, as he stated that the industry is evolving.
