The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is putting its search light in the spending of the N5 billion Army Vehicles Purchasing Grants from the from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
This is the mystery the EFCC special task force is battling to unravel. The vehicles were meant for the monitoring of the 2015 general elections.
There were no award letters, contract agreements, technical assessment reports, delivery notes and receipt vouchers for the vehicles.
Menwhile the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State have accused the anti-graft agency of persecuting Governor Ayo Fayose through the investigation of alleged receipt of arms slush funds and seizure of his assets.
A statement yesterday by its Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, alleged that the EFCC probe of Governor Fayose and his administration has become political, judging by the modus operandi of the investigation.
