Michael Collins Ajereh known professionally as Don Jazzy will be presented with the Silverbird Extraordinary Achievement Award this weekend.
The prestigious annual award is slated to hold on Sunday, March 16 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island.
Don Jazz, a Nigerian record producer, singer and business man was voted as one of the nominees for his achievement in the entertainment industry and a man whose professionalism has been outstanding.
He founded the record label Mavin Records in 2012, through which he has signed artists including D’Prince, Rema, and Ayra Starr. He co-founded Mo’ Hits Records with D’banj in 2004, and was an in-house producer for Kanye West’s GOOD Music from 2011 to 2013.
Alongside Don Jazzy are such figures as the Governor of Ekiti state, Abiodun Oyebanji, who will receive the prestigious Silverbird Man of the year award.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State) and Peter Mbah (Enugu State), who will receive the governor of the year award.
Dr. David Umahi, who will be recognized as minister of the year. Richard Mofe Damijo, who will receive the lifetime achievement award
Toyin Abraham and Chidi Mokeme, who will be recognized with the trailblazer awards.
Prof. Tam David West, Chief Alex Akinyele, Alhaji Ahmed Joda, and Prof. Dora Akunyili who will be posthumously honoured.
