Renowned disc jockey, Oluwaforijimi Amu, professionally known as DJ Jimmy Jatt, said has successfully had a kidney transplant which at the Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre, Abuja.

Amu a celebrity DJ in the Nigerian music industry in a video posted on social media, shared his experience while undergoing treatment and a transplant.

This development was a surprise to his fans, since they were not aware that he was going through such a health challenge.

The successful kidney transplant after coming as a shock has also been good news for the Nigerian entertainment industry as another as famous rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, announced some months ago that his wife had graciously donated her kidney to him, before Jimmy Jatt emerged the second celebrity to go public about his kidney-related illness in recent times.

According to The Punch he spoke about his medical condition in a documentary shot at the health facility where he was treated.

Jatt said, “I want to be a face of the survival of kidney disease. I did not want to be a victim. I have been through it, and from now on, I will be very open to talking to people about it on any platform to let them know what it is like.”

Speaking on the treatment he was given, the veteran disc jockey added that he was impressed with the quality of treatment he received at the medical centre. “I am impressed with what I got here. I submitted my whole life, and they took care of it,” he added.
