The Defence Headquarters has dismissed claims of an alleged coup plot by some senior military officers working in league with some discontent politicians. 

The Director of Defence Information, Major General John Enenche while speaking to newsmen in Abuja said the information was wrongly misrepresented by the media and assured that there is no cause for alarm.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has commenced training of its personnel on effective communication. 

This is aimed at boosting civil military interactions at its different theatres of operations, the Director of Engineerng Services, of the Nigerian Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Kamilu Kadiri, while speaking to personnel says the training will also help build their intellectual capacities. 

Another disaster of needless killings near maiduguri   was averted by the timely intervention of the police explosive ordinance department. 

According to the police in borno state three suspected female suicide bombers were killed after a failed attack near maiduguri. 

Spokesman for the Command Victor Isuku said a team of Explosive Ordinance Department was promptly drafted to the scene to restore normalcy. 

There was no civilian casualty.
