A socio-cultural group under the aegis of Kubaku Area Development Association has commended the willingness of the Federal Government to dialogue with Boko Haram insurgents on the release of the Chibok schoolgirls.

Kubaku is the umbrella body of the various communities in Chibok.

The National Secretary of the association, Mr. Muhammad Askira, gave the commendation yesterday in Maiduguri.

He said the hope of the parents to reunite with their children has been redeemed following the pronouncement of the federal government to negotiate with Boko Haram.

On Tuesday, a close ally of the terrorist group, Hajiya Aisha Kamil said that Boko Haram was ready to dialogue with the Federal Government on the modalities to release the girls.

Also President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his willingness to swap the detained Boko Haram members for the Chibok schoolgirls if that would lead to the freedom of the over 200 captives.
