CHAN 2024:- Manyo To Miss Super Eagles B Clash Against Congo
Nigeriaβs Home Eagles have been dealt another injury setback as Stephen Manyo has been ruled out of their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group D match against Congo.
The Rivers United defender picked up a shoulder injury during training this week and will not be fit in time for the encounter.
Manyo featured for the first time at the ongoing tournament in Nigeriaβs 4-0 loss to Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday, coming on for Leonard Ngenege in the second half.
Meanwhile, first-choice goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena is still recovering from the knee injury that sidelined him in the previous group games.
Nigeria will face Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.
Eric Chelleβs men will be aiming to end their campaign on a positive note after defeats in their first two matches against defending champions Senegal and Sudan.
