The Management of the Lagos Building Investment Company, LBIC Plc, has appointed Mr Hakeem Ogunniran as its new chairman.  The company also announced the appointment of Mrs Bolanle Banjo and Mr Adewale Okesola as directors of the Bank.

The appointments were contained in the statement released by the Mortgage Bank on Wednesday, 10th June, 2020, follows the consideration of the nominees of the Lagos State Government; the largest shareholder of the Bank.

According to the management,  the appointment became necessary due to the resignation of Arch. Adeshina Soyebo and Mr Abiodun Afinowi as Chairman and Director on 28th and 29th of May respectively.

The new Chairman is a seasoned real estate doyen and Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Exima Realty Company. Mr Ogunniran had served as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UACN Property Development Company Plc. He was also at various times a Law Lecturer, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Sales/Marketing Manager and Corporate Planning Manager.

He brings on board the wealth of experience garnered over three decades to steer the affairs of the company as it charts a new path in this challenging times.
