Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has denied that his meetings with former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan were aimed at stopping his anti-corruption war.

There have been insinuations that the private visits of the two former leaders to President Buhari were aimed at protecting the interests of the two former Presidents.

Buhari, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said his meeting with the two former Presidents were private and confidential.

Shehu said Buhari is at liberty to call former leaders for advice.

He stated that it would be unfair for anybody to say the visits were to stop the war against corruption, noting that the war will continue to go on.

Jonathan had on Thursday visited Buhari followed by the visit of Obasanjo on Friday.
