American singer, Bruno Mars is petitioning for his band, Silk Sonic to become a last-minute addition to this year’s Grammys line-up.
The award winning music star resolved at this decision when he discovered that Silk Sonic was not on Sunday’s list of performers announced for the 2021 Grammy Awards.
On his sales profile in the music business, Mars has sold millions of records and won countless awards.
Meanwhile, the list of musicians set to perform at the upcoming award show has been released. They are: Swift, Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion and John Mayer, Mars took to Twitter to ask them to make a tweak to the roster.
Mars has taken this development serious by going ahead to write an open letter, which he shared on Sunday, on Twitter.
The letter reads: “Dear Grammys, If you can see it in your hearts to allow two out of work musicians to perform at your show, we would really appreciate it,”
“We just released a song and could really use the promotion right now. We have a lot riding on this record (and the Pelicans game next week, but that’s another story).”
On precautions, Mars assured organizers that they would take “as many covid tests they need to.”
