Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has arrived the National Assembly as her supporters converge at the entrance to await her resumption at the Senate
An unusual security presence has been reported around the gate of the complex with stern-looking operatives searching cars and restricting visitors to the car park outside the parliament.
No fewer than five police patrol vehicles are stationed at strategic points at the entrance to the Assembly complex.
The heightened security comes in the wake of a threat by Akpoti-Uduaghan to return to legislative duties against stern warnings to stay away until the end of her six-month suspension over breach of Senate rules and alleged sexual harassment claims against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio
