Nnamdi Kanu moved to Sokoto prison- lawyer Ejimakor
The former counsel to the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says his former client has been transferred from the Department of State Services detention facility in Abuja to a correctional facility in Sokoto,
Aloy Ejimakor, who disclosed this in a tweet on Friday, Ejimakor expressed concern over the move, noting that the relocation places Kanu far from his legal team, family, and supporters.
This comes a day after Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Federal High Court in Abuja for seven terrorism-related charges.
However, there is no official confirmation yet on the alleged movement of the convicted IPOB leader outside the nation’s federal capital territory, Abuja
