Breaking: Governor Adeleke Imposes 24-Hour Curfew on Igbajo
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared an immediate 24-hour curfew on Igbajo, Boluwaduro Local Government Area following a violent breakdown of law and order that erupted overnight.
The decision, announced on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, on the heels of security intelligence reports submitted by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Barr. Samuel Ojo.
According to the state government, the unrest is linked to tensions that followed the recent death of Prince Adegboyega Famodun, a prominent indigene of the town, who passed away last week Saturday.
Governor Adeleke condemned the renewed hostilities, stressing that his administration will not tolerate any form of civil disorder capable of undermining the peace enjoyed across Osun State.
