About 105 pupils of the Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State that were kidnapped by Boko Haram have been freed.

It was gathered that the schoolgirls were freed this morning but five of them had died.

Journalists were barred from covering the events as they were stopped at the boundary of the town that led to a bush where the girls were kept.
