Multiple blasts at the camp of the Internally Displaced Persons have killed eight people in Maiduguri. That’s according to the State Commissioner  of Police .
 
But officials of the National Emergency Management Agency say eight lives were lost and at least 20 people injured.
 
Borno State Commissioner of Police, Damian Chukwu says the latest blasts happened at around 4:30 am today.
 
In a video circulated on Friday, a man claiming to be Boko Haram leader said he was responsible for bombings in Maiduguri and a raid in a nearby town last week.

In another development, a non-governmental organization, Advocates for Collective Transformation and Youth Empowerment Act, want Nigerians to vote only parties that field young candidates for elective positions across board. 
 
The group made the call; with specific emphasis on challenging the current political class to empower the average Nigerian youth.
