Two factions of the Boko Haram group may be ready for talks with the Federal Government, thats according to a former commander of the group  Abdulkadir Abubakar.
Mr. Abubakar, also known as Abu Muhammad, was the Chief Intelligence Officer of the Boko Haram group and one of its top commanders, until his arrest in June by the military in Buni Yadi in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
He says the two factions are willing to cooperate with Nigerian Government to defeat Shekau.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Airforce has commended the media for its fair and objective reporting of the ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the northeast.
The Airforce Director of Public Relations and Information Air-Commodore Olatokunbor Adesanya told newsmen in Abuja that the media has fulfilled high expectations placed on it by the public.
