One of Bill Cosby’s close fan, Phylicia Rashad has celebrated on Wednesday after hearing that the renowned comedian’s sentence has been overturned.

Rashad while celebrating shared her reaction to Mr. Cosby’s sentence being overturned. Rashad tweeted, along with a photo of Cosby: “FINALLY!!!! A terrible wrong is being righted- a miscarriage of justice is corrected!”

After the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania vacated his 2018 conviction on sexual assault charges and sentence, Cosby was released from a pennsylvania prison.

Mr. Cosby was found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home 14 years ago, after then, he was sentenced to 10 years in a state prison.

Meanwhile, there have been controversies surrounding her tweet, especially her first tweet; but she went ahead to share another statement.

Rashad wrote in a subsequent tweet, “I fully support survivors of sexual assault coming forward.”

In her words, “I fully support survivors of sexual assault coming forward. My post was in no way intended to be insensitive to their truth. Personally, I know from friends and family that such abuse has lifelong residual effects. My heartfelt wish is for healing.”
