Former US President Bill Clinton has been hospitalised for infection in California for an infection not related to Covid.

According to his spokesman Angel Ureña, Clinton is receiving treatment in the hospital at the moment at the UC Irvine Medical Center on Tuesday, where he was admitted.

On the state of heath of the 75-year-old, and the diagnosis, it was reported that he is “on the mend” and “in good spirits” and there is no clue of what led to the illness but a history of heart disease was discovered.

His doctors have disclosed that he had received antibiotics and fluids, while the physicians stated that he is being monitored continuously.

In the words of the doctor, “After two days of treatment, his white blood cell count is trending down and he is responding to antibiotics well.”

This statement is coming after the doctors met with the medical team and cardiologist of Clinton in New York, as well as his cardiologist. They also stressed that he would be released home soon.
