Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote’s dream of owning Premiership side, Arsenal Football Club may be dashed, following majority shareholder, Stan Kroenke’s bid to buy over the whole club.

Kroenke owns sixty seven per cent of Arsenal through his company KSE, which says minority owner, Alisher Usmanov has agreed to sell his thirty per cent stake in the club in a deal worth around two point three million dollars.

If Kroenke, who has already informed the London Stock Exchange of his bid, is successful, Dangote’s desire of buying the club he supports could be over.

Meanwhile, Alisher Usmanov himself has admitted he will accept rival Stan Kroenke’s bid to buy him out for £550m and take full control of the club.

Usmanov has confirmed he has agreed to part with his 30% stake in the club.
